This song is about two different people, from two very different worlds, who both lost a child. Their connection is me. One child lost was an infant who died of SIDS, the other being a miscarriage with a child who would’ve been mine. I’d go into full detail, which was my original intension with this 45 Stories project, but I think now I would rather have the details live in the feelings conveyed by the music. That’s the beauty of music, right? You don’t have to divulge every single detail of a musical story in the lyrical expressions, because in the end, it becomes more important to communicate the emotions felt. And when I listen back to this song, I feel so very much. And I am very glad that it can live inside of the song, and not inside of me.
